We Can Never Let This Happen Again!
The photos on this page are visual reminders of what happened eight years ago. These photos show images of fire and smoke and destruction. But make no mistake: The cowardly terrorism of 9-11 was more than an attack against American buildings and institutions. It was first and foremost an attack against the people of the United States and our way of life.
These photos are just a sampling. I urge you to go to Google or some other search engine, set it for Images (instead of Web Pages), and enter "World Trade Center 9-11" or something similar. Within seconds, your screen will be flooded with images of unimaginable horror--stark reminders of what was done to us on September 11, 2001.
You may ask, "Why would I want to do this? Why should I want to remember what happened eight years ago? Why not put it behind us and move on with our lives?"
I will tell you why: Because we must never forget. As long as we keep the images of 9-11 fresh in our minds, we guarantee that we will never again be victims of this kind of cowardly terrorism.
Eight years after, take the time to reflect on what happened and how you have been affected. Make September 11 a day of sober and thoughtful reflection. Decide to commit yourself to making the most of every day, because we have no guarantee that there will be a tomorrow.
And pray that Almighty God, in His infinite wisdom and mercy, will keep His hand of protection on the United States of America.
